Last summer we baptized our sweet baby Jack and it was the most beautiful day! Although it has taken me some time to find a moment to share the details of the event, I figured better late than never.

We hosted his baptism celebration at La Vecchia Lakeshore. We've been to the restaurant many times before, however it was our first time hosting an event here and we were very impressed! The food was delicious, and the service, from planning to execution, was amazing.

When guests arrived they were greeted by a stunning welcome sign/ seating chart that was hand painted by Jaclyns Calligraphy by Design (she's so talented!). Although the venue is beautiful on its own, we wanted to fancy it up a bit, so we worked with Art of Celebrations for our flowers and backdrop. I've known Roxy and her team since our wedding planning days, so I knew we were in great hands. The flowers were absolutely stunning; I loved that the flowers had a hint of blue in them that matched the rest of the decor perfectly. Our guests were also thrilled they could take an arrangement home, along with a box of macaroons, at the end of the day.

My goal when hosting any event is to make everything cohesive. What really brought everything together for Jack's baptism was the stationary. From our invitations, to the thank you tags, and everything in between we worked with Event Things and Co. They paid close attention to detail, presented me with such wonderful options, and came up with great ideas to help give the celebration that added personal touch. I loved the personalized activity books they put together for all the kids, which gave them something to do before their meal arrived.

Now for the cake from Sammy Cakes - not only was it pretty, but it was SO good. We did different flavours for each tier (lemon with fresh raspberry cream and chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream), and both were fantastic - moist and perfectly sweetened! The cake was displayed on a pedestal in front of our backdrop which was covered in florals that matched the flower arrangements on the tables.

Last, but definitely not least, my talented friend Steph from Lenny Jean Photography captured every moment of the day, which I am so grateful for. This was the first time I had a professional photographer at my children's baptisms and I can't believe I didn't do it sooner. It took so much stress away and now we have a keepsake that we can keep forever.

If you're planning an event, I hope you find some inspiration from Jack's special day. I put together our list of vendors below to hopefully make it easier for you to reference.

If I missed anything, please let me know in the comments below. I'm always happy to help!
