If it wasn't for our build, Stella would most likely still be living in her dreamy nursery. Since she'll be inching her way to her third birthday when we move in, I want to give her a space that suits a toddler, but one that she can also easily grow with. With the exception of her big girl bed, we are reusing all the furniture from her nursery, which I will link to below. Her nursery was gender neutral, with lots of creams and whites. It was so calming, and I truly loved it, but I'm REALLY excited to create a space for her that's a little more girly this time around.

Below are some of the inspo images that I've been collecting over the past few months. I can't wait to share what the space will actually look like once it's ready!

Since Stella's name means star, I immediately fell in love with this wallpaper from Anthroplogie for her room. It will cover her whole room, and parts of the ceiling too! I love that it's subtle but still fun. It will also allow me to play around with the decor a bit more, than if I chose a funkier/ busier wallpaper.

Another section of the room that I'm very excited about is the window seat. Growing up I always dreamed of a window seat, just like the one in the girls room on Full House (if you don't know what I'm talking about, I don't know if we can be friends LOL). I'll be reusing this roman shade from Stella's nursery, I want to add a cushion for the seat, and TONS of throw pillows to make this little space nice and cozy. I've also added two sconces to this area. These are the one's I'm dreaming of, however I'm trying to find a slightly more affordable alternative to present to my husband. Any suggestions?

Given the layout of the space, I've decided on a daybed for Stella, with a trundle for future sleepovers. Currently I'm eyeing this beauty from RH Baby & Child in velvet, in the dusty petal colour, however I haven't committed to anything just yet. I'll also need a new rug for her room, since the one from her nursery will be a bit too small. I found this one on Wayfair.ca, but I'm not 100% certain it'll work or if I love it enough, so I will keep you posted.

Lastly, artwork and decor! We have quite a few pieces from her nursery in storage, which I want to see in the space before purchasing anything new. I also found a few pieces at RH Baby and Child that I like, but I'll be keeping an eye out at HomeSense for something similar, before committing to those if they're needed. This will be a little project once we move in and I can start mixing and matching the final touches. We also had this baby swing in her nursery, which I ADORE, but she'll be too big for it once we move in. I'm really hoping we can fit a big girl swing somewhere in her room, but I haven't found a spot for it yet.

If you would like to see more, follow my TKL Home Build board on Pinterest. I have a board dedicated to Stella's room as well!

That's all I have for now! Hopefully everything works out once I start bringing this dreamy space to life.

Stay tuned!
