The weather is getting cooler, which means the fall layers are starting to fill my wardrobe. With that in mind, I thought it would be a great time to share some of my favourite pieces this season. I love to shop Nordstorm.ca so I can browse a variety of brands and styles at an attainable price point. Their selection can take me from school drop off, to date night, all in one stop. Comfy fashion (if that's not a thing, I'm making it a thing!) is my go-to each season, regardless of the occasion.

First up, athleisure. I think I was rocking athleisure before it was cool. It bodes well for me that it's now on trend LOL! My current obsession is the Muse ribbed crop pullover and sweat pant set from Alo. The textured ribbing is so soft and cozy! It comes in a few different colours, but I love how the ivory (surprise, surprise!).

Ok, where are all my tall girls at? You do not want to miss out on these Zella joggers. While they may look like a basic sweat pants, they're so much more!! Not only are they super soft, but they're long, which isn't always easy to find if you're tall. Because of their slim fit, they look great with an oversized top, like the thermal knit by Free People. I love its exposed seams and that it's long enough so that it covers my bum. The length makes it perfect to pair with leggings as well.

If you're on the hunt for the perfect black leggings, the Faux leather Spanx leggings are my favourite (I have 2 pairs!). You can dress them up or down, they flatten the tummy, and they're the perfect length. I wear them to pilates with a sport bra and then throw something overtop and just like that I'm all set for school drop off. You can also pair them with booties and a chunky knit sweater for a more elevated look.

No outfit is complete without a cute pair of shoes! If you've been following along on Instagram, you'll know my newest sneaker obsession - the Eco Theory Checkerboard Vans. I love that their affordable, and neutral with a fun little twist. It's beige tones also make it so easy to pair with so many of my favourite fall outfits.

And last, but most definitely not least, let's take a moment for my new teddy moto jacket!! It's cozy, yet edgy, and it looks good with just about anything. This is without question my favourite piece this season.

Although athleisure is my go-to, dresses are a close second. There are two dresses in particular that I have no problem tucking the joggers away for. This ribbed midi dress is the perfect basic to add to your wardrobe. It can be paired with sneakers or worn with boots. I like to wear it running errands, out for lunch, or as a casual date night look.

The second dress that has me swooning, is the flowy long sleeve midi dress from Free People. It adds a pop of colour to my wardrobe, which I would typically be weary of, but it somehow seems to match everything just like a neutral! It can be worn belted for a more structured look, but I also really love it as is. Similar to the ribbed midi, it can be worn with sneakers or combat boots, and I really love both looks!

My hope is that these looks inspire you when you're putting together your wardrobe this season. If you have any questions about sizing, or styling please leave them in the comments below.
