This past Labour Day long weekend, my girlfriends and I jet set to Nashville for my BFF's bachelorette. Being the Maid of Honour, it was up to me to plan the weekend [pressure was on!]. I had so much fun doing it, and the trip was bride approved [#winning]. I've shared all the details below! STAY We stayed at the Thompson Nashville and loved it! What initially had me was their stunning black freestanding claw foot tub; it's as beautiful in person as it was online. Not only were the rooms super cute, the location was awesome. It's located in The Gulch which was great for getting around, with tons of good restaurants nearby and it was only a 5 min Uber from Broadway! I would love to go back and just restaurant hop! Of the spots we did check out, our top picks were Kayne Prime, Adele's and Pinewood Social. Kayne Prime Kayne Prime is the perfect spot for steak lovers. I had the most AMAZING filet, and if you visit, you MUST order the cream corn. It's brûléed, and it's the most delicious thing ever [not even exaggerating LOL]. Adele's Adele's used to be an old garage repair shop and it still has that vibe, with a touch of chic. We did Sunday brunch, which was served as a delicious buffet. My favs were the squash salad and the green tomato! If you're doing a boozy brunch, as most bachelorettes do, they have a great cocktail menu, which is a bonus. Pinewood Social Pinewood is SO much fun. They have bowling, ping pong, bocce ball and 2 dip pools so you can beat the heat [it was HOT!]. There are lounge chairs and an outdoor bar as well if you're just looking to have a few bevies. We loved the ambiance, the service was fantastic and the food delicious. The brûléed grapefruit is a must [clearly I like my food brûléed LOL], and the avo toast was to die for. Overall I'd say this place is a must-go for Saturday or Sunday brunch with the ladies! Jason Aldean's rooftop bar was our top spot, and it's where we ended up most nights. Swinging Doors Saloon was also a great place to grab a few drinks and listen to live music. Aside from bar hopping, we took a trip to Royal Range USA [we were sober, promise!]. We had the place to ourselves [I would recommend prebooking for your group], and the staff were so kind; they went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. If you're looking for something a little different, and not boozy, this is the place to go! Last, but most definitely not least, you MUST book the Nashville Pedal Tavern, and upon booking request Dan [he's hilarious and I truly believe he's the reason we loved this experience so much]. Essentially you're on a 15 passenger bicycle, pedalling through Nashville's streets, bar hopping, blaring tunes and drinking along the way. It is seriously such a great time, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting. I tried to keep it somewhat classy [I mean we are almost 30 LOL], but then again it is a bachelorette and a little bit of tackiness goes a long way. To start, I gave the bride a little bachelorette gift to kick off the weekend. It included a "Miss to Mrs" tumbler with some goodies inside, a bridal PJ, his and hers luggage tags and a bottle of my favourite rosé. It was a great way to kick off the weekend, and get the bride feeling extra special from the start! The in room decor was rose gold, and most of it was Ginger Ray, purchased from Amazon.ca and Indigo. We had a tassel banner with rings, a Cheers B*tches sign, and tons of rose gold, confetti & team bride balloons which filled the tub [this was clearly my FAVOURITE part!]. The Same Penis Forever sign was also a bachelorette fav. As you know by now I'm all about matching, and it's not only when it comes to my mini! The bride's favourite country artist is Jason Aldean, so we paid tribute to his Big Green Tractor single [after all it's the song the groom to be proposed to], and made t-shirts with the brides face on a John Deere for all of us to wear. To match, we had custom embroidered cow boy hats made by Southern Ever After, which are AH-MAZING. She did such a wonderful job, and they're truly such great quality. We also brought a Polaroid camera and scrapbook for the ladies to snap photos and leave some messages for the bride throughout the weekend. This made for great entertainment after a night out! Lastly, I made water bottle hangover kits for all the ladies, which included a cute little bandana, band aids, elastics, Party Smart pills, and some snacks.
